Do You Really Want To Make Money Online?

In his book “The DNA Of Success” author Jack Zufelt analyzes why dream building and goal setting do not work for most people. He suggests you must first know exactly why you want to do something before you can set goals or dream about it.

This brings me to my question of do you truly want to make money online.

I mean REALLY want to!

The only way you can truly answer that question is by understanding the real reason you want to make more money. That is harder than it sounds.

I know in my case I wanted to work for myself wherever I was at. The power of Internet marketing really appealed to me for that reason.

I really wanted to make money online because I knew I could do that wherever my computer Internet access. That meant I could work at home, travel and work, lay on the beach and work, and so on.

This became a powerful and motivating force that drove me to do everything in my power to make that happen. I’m happy to say that after four years of part time Internet marketing I was able to quit my job and now do it on a full time basis.

Some people are motivated by the fact they can totally retire and not work at all. Others might be motivated by things such as a vacation home, a new car, finishing the basement, funding a college education for a child, and so on.

I think once you really understand why you want to do something the way will present itself. But your reason why must be crystal clear in your mind. Anyone can write down a goal on a piece of paper and read it over and over and never achieve that goal.

Others seem to achieve things almost effortlessly and do it without a goal sheet. I have achieved far more in my life without goals than I ever did reading them everyday.

You will see you do better when you know why you want to do something and it motivates you to do whatever it takes. You do not need to read a goal every day to make that happen.

What you do need is a daily list of things you are going to get done. Those are not really goals, but instead are things you can mark off your list as you finish them. These action items will move you closer to your primary reason for wanting to earn money.

Only you know if you sincerely want to make money online or not. I hope you take the time to truly understand why you want to do it so that will motivate you to make it happen in your life.

Do You Have The Skills To Make Money Online?

I think one of the things that surprised me most about Internet marketing was how many skills it took. Of course when I started out I was barely able to send email so I had a very steep learning curve. I guess I am living proof that if I can become a full time Internet marketer anyone can.

The question you must ask yourself is do you have the skills it is going to take to make money online? The exception would be if you outsource many of the daily activities of running your business. However even then you must be skillful enough to hirer the right people.

1. One of the first things I would tell you to do is join the “Warrior Forum” and start hanging out there. Somehow I lucked out and found them when I first started and to this day I still go there when I need information.

I have participated in discussions over the years, but many times I choose to just read some of the various threads to get my questions answered. A good quality discussion for is an excellent place to pick up free information and develop more Internet marketing skills.

2. I have always been willing to invest money in ebooks and reports if it was something I thought would help me. I think that is good advice for you as well. If you can afford to spend money on education do it, and then use what you learn and put it into practice.

3. As you begin to become more adept at Internet marketing then it’s probably a good time to start outsourcing. There is an old rule of thumb that says, “Do what you like best and outsource the rest”.

This makes sense for a couple reasons. First of all your business will be more productive because you are not wasting time doing things you’re not good at. Plus you will enjoy your business more if you’re not doing the things you do not enjoy.

4. If I was to give offer one more bit of valuable advice it would be to learn how to do email marketing and list building. This skill alone can make you a lot of money fairly quickly as well is on a long-term basis.

There is no doubt that a large list of people who know who you are, and trust you, is an asset that’s worth thousands of dollars on a monthly basis. Depending on your niche you may not even need a very large list, but just a responsive one.

These are a few things to keep in mind for skills you are going to need to make money online. Marketing on the Internet is not difficult to do once you learn how!

Do You Have Enough Patience To Make Money Online?

One question that many people have is how long will it take me befor I make money online? I hear this question all the time and I know it is on people’s minds because I had that very question myself.

There are several things that will affect how quickly you make money. In no particular order I’ve listed four of them here.

1. How much time will you spend every week on your business? This is no different than going to your full time job. The more you work the more you would expect to be paid.

Although you do not get paid by the hour when you are building your own online business, the future success you experience is some what dependent on how much time you work on your business every week.

2. How much money can you spend promoting? There certainly are free or nearly free methods of advertising a product online.

If you have money you can begin advertising and getting traffic right away. PPC advertising is a very good example of this.

Once you set your campaign up you can begin getting traffic almost immediately. If you have a well designed website, and represent products people have an interest in, you could begin making money right away.

3. What is your current online marketing skill level? This probably kills more dreams than anything. The world wide web is huge and it does take skills to build a profitable business.

If you are willing to invest time learning how to do Internet marketing correctly you will make money faster.

4. How competitive is your niche? Because of how well developed they are some niches are almost impossible to compete in.

Niche marketing has come about because people take broad themes and narrow them down to something less competitive. You can make money faster if you are in a less competitive niche.

So, having said all that we get around to trying to answer the question of whether you have the patience to make money online. Some people want to see things happen almost immediately and they quit when it doesn’t.

Making money online can certainly try your patience and therefore you want to set small goals so you can feel like you are becoming successful. For example building a mailing list and getting even a handful of subscribers on a daily basis can be motivational.

Setting low income goals as small as $5 a day can help as well. Then as you begin to hit that dollar amount you can shoot for larger daily income goals.

In summary these are a few things to consider when it comes to making money online. You certainly will need patience, however understand that if you do things correctly you will eventually begin and money!

Do You Have Enough Time To Make Money Online?

How much time do you need to Make Money Online? You cannot really decide if you have enough time to make more money until you really understand this question.

I really believe that everyone does have the time to make extra money, but often they let circumstances stop them from doing it. Let me explain what I mean.

Some of the busiest people are also the most successful Internet marketers. What they’ve done is figured out how to make extra money by taking advantage of what the Internet offers.

It has been said that the Internet is the great equalizer. What you lack in time you can make up for with money.

For example the busiest people know how to outsource many of the daily tasks involved in their home business. This is a great benefit busy people get from the Internet.

You can find people to do just about anything for you on the internet. If you need a website built there are literally thousands of people available around the world to do it.

If you want to build backlinks to your site you can hire somebody to do that. What you lack in time you can make up for by spending some of your money.

Conversely what you lack in money you will have to make up for in time. If you can not afford to hire somebody to build a website you are going to have to learn how to do it yourself.

If you want to get backlinks to your site you may have to spend a certain amount of time doing things like writing and submitting articles to article directories. The same thing for blogging and writing unique content. You will have to do all of that yourself.

These are all examples of spending either time or money to put yourself in a position where you can really make money. This is true regardless of almost every business model online.

Whether you start a home business, become an affiliate marketer, join a network marketing company, sell plr products, or so on, it will take time and money to do it.

There is one way to make extra money where you do not have to spend much money. If you join get paid to programs your primary investment will be in the time you spend doing these sorts of things.

Get paid to programs include reading email, doing data entry, take paid surveys, and so on. Because the work you are doing is for companies who pay you to perform a specific action, so there really isn’t any investment of money involved.

However the amount of money you get paid on each action is relatively small. You will have to spend more time to make more money depending on what your goal is.

In summary you will need to determine what you are going to do to make money online before you can decide if you have enough time to do it. Ultimately if you really want to make more money you will come up with a way to balance the amount of money and time you need to do it.

How To Make Extra Money-Sell Your Stuff On EBay!

Many people have started to make extra money selling their items on eBay and within a cupple of weeks or months they’re raking in thousands of dollars every month.

Are they true? Some of them are and it’s being done everyday.Earn extra money on eBay is easy if you’re willing to educate yourself and follow the rules that have been honed to near perfection over many years of trial and error.
Register with eBay is a good way to begin and browse through the various auctions and see what’s selling and what’s not. There are many tutorials, books and audios you can purchase (some of them are free) if you’re serious about making money on eBay.

The more you know the more likely you are to succeed. The basics are easy and you can get started almost immediately. But, to earn serious cash it typically takes a while to fine tune your business.

The beauty of selling on online auctions is that it’s inexpensive to get started and test a product. Throw it out there and see how many buyers bite. If it’s a flop, try something else and you’ve only lost a few cents. eBay offers many ways to research a product to see what an item has sold for and how many have sold. If there’s no demand for your product, find something else.

Good feedback goes a long way to the success of selling or buying on eBay. Feedback is a system where each buyer or seller receives a rating on his service and the item. A good way to get started receiving positive feedback is to buy a few items and pay promptly.

Whether buying or selling the best way to pay is through Pay Pal. This is a company affiliated with eBay that allows you to pay with a credit card through them. It’s easy, fast and as safe as possible. You can accept checks or money orders if you want, but it delays completing the transaction.

When you’re ready to start selling it’s probably best to start with items around the home you don’t want anymore such as clothes, electronics, books and collectibles. When you run out of those you can find items at garage sales, wholesale houses and even other auctions. Some people sell items for a commission for their friends.
You can sell both new and used items. It’s nice if you can find a niche market for something you’re interested in such as digital cameras, Hot Wheels, or antiques.
The more specialized you become the more you’re perceived as an expert.

When you have multiple items for sale or a good source for your products it may be time to place them in an eBay store. Details on how to do this can be found on the eBay website. In the eBay store, your items are on display without the expense of a bricks and mortar building.

Be honest about the things you’re selling and point out any flaw it may have. If you make a mistake, admit it and make it good. Your reputation as a seller is at stake. A good digital picture of the item will reveal most flaws and will boost your sales. Most of the time on eBay the first picture is free and you can add others for a small fee.

When you sell an item, communicate with your buyer and ship promptly. Say thank you and that you’d appreciate receiving a good feedback and you’ll do the same. Selling on eBay one item at a time or in volume in an eBay store is an excellent way to make easy extra money and maybe even a small fortune…at least a good living.
